The content, substance of a story is what combines with the structure of a narrative in order to create meaning for the self - in non-abstract terms, subtitles (the complete comprehension of the object, or one that facilitates such) are necessary for the entire absorption of the psyche. Perhaps this is the contrast between the emotional and intellectual aspects of an 'object'.
